Second-hand furniture in Luxembourg
The bookcase is still in good condition. It has only one problem: in the next flat, the wall is too short.
You measured it twice. The wall too. It is going to need another address.
A few kilometres away, someone has books stacked on the floor and an empty space. You have not met yet. That is where Domelti can help.
Discover furniture for sale or free in Luxembourg and around you, or offer what you are not keeping. Everyone posts in their own language. Domelti handles the rest.

An armchair for reading by the window. A desk so you can stop working at the end of the kitchen. A chest of drawers because the clothes have no plans to make room.
We do not always look for a particular piece of furniture. Sometimes we simply want a room to work better.
Browse what is available nearby. Check the dimensions, condition, price or ‘free’ label. The right find is not necessarily what you first imagined.

The bookcase looks perfect in the photograph. In your living room too, at least in your head.
A few details stand between the two: a door, a staircase and a corridor that turns in the wrong place.
Measure where it will stand and the whole route there. Ask whether it comes apart, whether shelves can be removed and whether all fittings are present. For a heavy item, know who can help carry it.
The sofa is 3 km away. The bend in the stairs is closer.
If you are unsure how much room it will take, mark its outline on the floor with tape. It is not spectacular, but it will tell you whether the door still opens.

Ads may include tables, chairs, sofas, armchairs, wardrobes, chests of drawers, bookcases, desks, children’s furniture and garden furniture. Visible categories depend on what members actually post.
Yes. Mark it as free and give its condition, dimensions and collection requirements. A free ad should be as clear as a sale ad.
At least width, height and depth. Add measurements important for use or transport, such as an extended table, sofa seat depth or dismantled wardrobe height.
Compare its measurements with doors, corridors, corners, stairs and lifts. Ask what can be dismantled and measure your vehicle too.
Members arrange collection and transport themselves. Domelti does not deliver. Clarify the address, floor, access and any help available.
The person posting can mark it reserved once an agreement is reached. Confirm collection details in the conversation.
It all starts with an item
It does not all need to arrive on the same day, from the same collection or in the same van.
A free lamp can sit beside a second-hand armchair. A sideboard can change room, handle or simply owner. Some furniture stays for years; some stays as long as you need it.
What matters is that it serves you and makes home feel right.
And if the wall becomes too short one day, you know where to find it another address.
Rules for posting wellOur bookcase has a small mark on one side. Nothing dramatic: it has mainly spent a few years doing its job.
One full photograph, a close-up of the mark, the dimensions and a few words tell the essentials. No need to identify the exact wood or find a 1998 catalogue.
Show what another person will inspect: open drawers, legs, hinges, fabric and included parts. If something sticks, is missing or has been repaired, say so plainly.
A visible scratch can be part of its story. A scratch discovered after a forty-minute drive starts the conversation less well.
Domelti helps prepare the ad from your photographs and information. You review it, correct it and publish when you are ready.
Offer a piece of furniture
The person looking for your furniture may not speak your language.
In Luxembourg, it would be a shame to stop there.
Write naturally in your language. Someone else can discover and read the ad in theirs. The original remains available and you keep control of what you publish.
For the next step, be concrete: measurements, floor, day and time. ‘Saturday at 10, second floor without a lift’ leaves little room for interpretation.
Translation will not make the lift push.

You may want to recover part of a good piece’s price. Or you may want it gone quickly because moving day is near and you already have enough boxes to count.
Both choices make sense.
Set a price that reflects its condition, nearby offers and collection constraints. What it cost matters to your memories. The interested person mainly sees what it offers today.
If it is free, keep the same useful details: dimensions, condition, access and availability.
The price can disappear. The fourth floor cannot.
If several people reply, agree a clear collection time. Once reserved, mark it to prevent wasted journeys.

The bookcase is empty. The shelves are removed. Small fittings are in a bag rather than somewhere in the van.
Confirm the time, address and transport. A blanket, a few straps and another pair of hands can make collection much easier.
Take time to inspect the furniture and check that it matches the ad. If buying it, do this before paying.
You exchange directly. Domelti receives no payment, arranges no transport and charges no commission.
This time the measurements work. The bookcase leaves.
The waiting books can finally leave the floor.

You can also post what you are looking for.
A shallow unit for a narrow hall. Two bedside tables that need not match. A small desk, but genuinely small.
State its purpose, maximum dimensions, any budget and the distance you can travel.
Someone may own exactly what you need without having thought of offering it.
Sometimes the right ad begins with ‘Wanted’.Post a wanted ad

Consider condition, quality, age, known new price and ease of transport. Compare similar pieces and choose a price you can explain simply. If time matters more, giving it away is also an option.
Yes. Domelti lets you search and browse in your language even when the original ad uses another supported language.
Confirm availability, dimensions, condition, price, address and collection details before leaving. Ask for another photograph if a defect or narrow passage matters.
